The Royal Three Counties Show will return to Malvern’s Three Counties Showground from 17 – 19 June 2022 for a long weekend of fantastic food, farming and family fun.
This year marks 100 years of the Royal Three Counties Show and to celebrate organisers have curated over 150 activities and events running across the long weekend.
The tantalising new open-air Food & Drink Festival will showcase the very best artisan produce from across Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and beyond. Join local chefs and special guests in the Food & Drink Theatre for live cookery displays and tastings, hosted by award-winning writer, photographer and owner of Otter Farm (the UK’s only climate change farm), Mark Diacono. Sample some of the finest cider and perry from within the three counties, and meet the talented makers to learn about their craft, at the Three Counties Cider & Perry Festival.
A visit to the Show wouldn’t be complete without experiencing the Farming Village where you will find over 120 breeds of animals across 25 judging rings, including 54 rare and minority breeds (boasting the largest gathering of rare breed livestock in the country). The chance to get up close to different types of animals and the enthralling sheep shearing demonstrations and competitions are a real highlight of the weekend.
The Young Farmers, renowned for their humorous and lively competitions, will come head-to-head for their legendary competitions which this year involve bale-pushing and camel suit racing. While lots of lovely places to eat and drink and beautiful areas to chill out, makes it a perfect opportunity to meet up with friends and enjoy a spot of retail therapy with fabulous clothing, homeware and garden stands.

Within Adventure Avenue you can watch the amazing skills of the famous Stihl Chainsaw World Championships, chat to the Worcester Warriors, learn about the Army and their vehicles, and cheer on the remarkable pole climbing competitors. There is lots to learn about trees in the Forestry Area while in the Farriery and Blacksmithing area, there will be sparks flying as you watch top-class competitors make everything from different types of shoes for horses, to a prizewinning bottle opener!
The Gardening Hub houses the International Orchid Show which is the largest in the UK and brings together specimens of rare and beautiful plants from Europe and further afield, while the ever-popular Plant & Flower Show adds vibrant colour and fragrance to Severn Hall, with a full timetable of talks and demos for the duration of the show.
The Equine Village, featuring six show rings, will host spectacular show jumping alongside some of the country’s top showing competitors across 290 classes. The new Ask The Groom area offers visitors the chance to learn how to take care of these magnificent animals, with tips from a range of experienced exhibitors alongside popular Show regulars Malvern Pony Club, Hook Norton Brewery and the Dyfed-Powys Mounted Police.
The Fur, Feather and Farm area is a must-visit, especially for families and children. Meet beautiful breeds of rabbits, chickens, ducks, alpaca and goats, and find out more about how to care for these popular animals from the expert keepers. While you’re there, enjoy a full programme of entertainment in the Countryside Arena, featuring acts such as The Mini Pony Show, Hawkeye Falconry and the ever-popular working gundogs, and pop to the lake for a chance to have a go at fishing. The Herefordshire Beekeepers will host a dedicated Bees & Honey marquee where you can watch live demonstrations, discover what happens inside a hive, and get expert advice on keeping bees yourself.
The weekend celebration will also feature special and celebrity guests, a wide variety of lively family entertainment, including breath-taking displays by The Red Devils and Bolddog Lings freestyle stunt motocross teams, a fabulous range of countryside retailers in the shopping area and over 6,000 animals to see.
